We would like to take this opportunity to introduce to you two (2) new members to our team here at Metro Health Services.

SUSAN HUERTA,  C.P.(c) is Metro Health's new Prosthetist.  She came to us from Toronto where she completed the Clinical Methods in Prosthetics & Orthotics at George Brown College. a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, along with a Minor in Psychology from York University.

Susan has a variety of experiences in both amputee care and in education.  She has applied her clinical theory and knowledge of teaching to help guide patients and their familes through the process of amputation rehabilitation.  She is passionate and has a holistic approach to treating the patient as a whole person.  Susan has a genuine and caring nature and strives to gain future connections with other health care professionals to provide the best care for her patients.

We are happy to have KATHY CALVIN, B.Sc., O.T.(c), join us on a part time basis.  She brings with her 30+ years of Occupational Therapy experience.   Her field of expertise lies with upper extremity injuries; providing custom fitted supports and orthotics, custom and standard adaptive devices to improve function, desensitization and cold intolerance interventions and prosthetic training.

With Kathy's experience with clients with severe traumatic injuries she is able to help the client adapt in a manner that reduces risk from long term compensatory effects on the whole body.  She enjoys the challenge of finding "THE" right solution to meet each clients' needs and lifestyle.

We look forward to working with both Susan and Kathy in providing continued outstanding  service to our clients.
